Kelsey's Companion Care, LLC
Unfortunately, since the COVID-19 pandemic, KCC has not been able to rebuild the 5 person, amazing 24/7 pet care team that we once had. Due to this, KCC has had to cut back on our services . We are currently offering Mon - Fri doggy walks (occasional Saturdays also offered), 9 AM - 4 PM. Most of our walks are booked as social time with friends (either playtime or learning how to be neutral around other dogs or a mix of both!) but if you need a solo walk, please email us or book the shorter dog walk which is solo dog walks only. We also offer once daily kitty pet sit visits when scheduling allows. Unfortunately we are not able to offer dog pet sit visits at this time due to the number of visits required for our K9 friends.
Why use a professional Petsitter?
No Travel Trauma - your pet won't be upset from being left in an unknown environment and you won't have to worry about transporting your pet to and from a boarding facility.
No imposing on friends and neighbors - Sure friends love to help you out while you're away, but they are not always available and often have busy schedules that might not tailor to the needs of your pets. Last minute trips/plans often arise with friends causing them to have to cancel caring for your furry friend at the last minute. A professional pet sitter will never cancel on you. You can schedule care months in advance and rest assured that your pet sitter/s will be there.
No interruptions to daily routines - your pet can stay in familiar surroundings with their own food, bowls, toys, etc. You can schedule appointments that coincide with your daily routine.
No exposure to illness/disease - because your pets are in your own home, they will not be around other animals who may have a sickness that can be passed onto your own pet.
Your pet will get individualized care - we can provide your companion with the loving, individualized care they deserve in the home environment they are comfortable in. We are experienced in administering all types of medications including Sub Q fluids and Insulin injections for those pets that have health issues.
So what exactly does licensed, bonded, and insured mean?
Licensed means that our name is registered and recognized in the Yolo community. Every year we pay the necessary fees to keep our business license so we can legally run a business in the Yolo county community. Our business pays all of the necessary state, federal, and payroll taxes each quarter as well as annually. We are based out of Davis, CA and have over 300 clients within the county.
Insured means that your fur kids and home will be 100% covered from any accidents that may happen while you are away. You would never hire an electrician or plumber that wasn't insured so what's the difference with a pet sitter? When you call on a neighbor, friend, the neighborhood kid, you need to consider the liability involved. What if the dog destroys the furniture or carpet while you are away because your instructions were not properly followed? What if who ever is caring for your home does not turn off the faucet completely and water damage incurs? Taking a dog for a walk holds many liabilities - what if the dog escapes and attacks another dog or person? Or if another dog attacks him/her? If hiring a friend or a neighbor, you would be paying for all of these mistakes out of pocket.Hiring an insured pet sitter ensures that these accidents will be covered by their insurance company.
Bonding protects your home and belongings if anything should go missing while you are away. KCC is a professional team that never touches anything that is not needed for the care of the pet/s and/or the home but this additional piece of coverage can put your mind at ease that all your bases are covered when you leave your home in a bonded company's care.
To adequately protect your home and your pets from damage and financial harm, it is best to only hire licensed, bonded, and insured pet care companies to care for your pets and home while you are away.
KCC is always looking for responsible, animal lovers to join our pet care team! Please contact us for more details if you're interested in applying!
